Ganna Kovrizhynkh found in Mexico after 13-month disappearance

Ukrainian national Ganna Kovrizhynkh, 39, has been located in Sinaloa, Mexico, 13 months after her disappearance. Authorities in San Diego County confirmed she was traced on August 7 and determined to have entered Mexico voluntarily.

Kovrizhynkh was reported missing in July 2025 after her Jeep Grand Cherokee and trailer were found abandoned on private property in Potrero. Before her disappearance, she had sent an unsettling final message to her mother containing GPS coordinates of Potrero and instructions regarding her personal assets. Investigators have notified the Ukrainian embassy of her location.
