Gans Creek Classic features collegiate and high school cross country competition

The Gans Creek Classic, held at the University of Missouri, featured a large field of collegiate and high school cross country competitors. In the collegiate races, Arkansas men secured the team title, while Missouri claimed the women’s team title.

Various university teams reported significant individual and collective performances. South Dakota State’s men finished 11th and women 15th. Murray State saw 12 runners set personal records, including Molly Robertson, who set a school record with a time of 21:07.7. Kansas State saw three men enter the school’s all-time top-25, led by Max Larson. Western Kentucky’s women placed second in the 6k Black Open, while Iowa’s athletes recorded nine personal bests.

Nebraska’s women finished sixth overall, led by Ali Bainbridge, while their men placed 19th. The event also included high school divisions, with Pella, Iowa, winning the varsity girls elite division and Bridgeland, Texas, winning the boys division.
