GANVAM hosts inaugural legal forum on automotive valuation

The National Association of Vehicle Sellers and Repairers (GANVAM) held the first edition of GANVAM Jurídico at the Alfonso X El Sabio University. Organized in collaboration with the Spanish Association of Car Dismantling and Recycling (AEDRA), the event aimed to establish stable interpretive criteria to provide greater legal security for companies in the automotive sector.

A central theme of the discussion was the objective valuation of automobiles. Experts emphasized the necessity of using references based on real market transactions. The GANVAM-DAT valuation system utilizes data from real transaction prices, such as those from distributors and financial institutions, as well as online platform offers. This index accounts for variables including vehicle age, mileage, battery stress, and telematics to determine current and future vehicle value.
