Gaon Cable to supply 120 billion won of distribution cables to US big tech

Gaon Cable has secured a contract to supply distribution cables worth 120 billion won to a global cloud computing company through its US-based production subsidiary, LSCUS. This marks the largest single distribution cable supply from a Korean company to a global big tech firm.

Deliveries are scheduled to begin in October and continue through the first half of next year, targeting multiple AI data center projects currently underway in the United States. The company is also in discussions for additional supply volumes.

To meet rising demand driven by the expansion of campus-style AI data centers, LSCUS plans to launch a new production line in the fourth quarter of this year. The company intends to double its production capacity through further expansions next year. LSCUS revenue is projected to grow from approximately 440 billion won last year to 870 billion won this year, with expectations to reach 1.5 trillion won next year.
