Gapyung to host 37th Gyeonggi Provincial Sports Festival

The 37th Gyeonggi Provincial Sports Festival 2026 is set to officially commence in Gapyung County from the 11th to the 13th. The event, hosted by the Gyeonggi Provincial Sports Council and organized by Gapyung County, features 21,612 participants from 31 cities and counties across Gyeonggi Province, competing in 29 disciplines.

Preliminary matches held from the 4th to the 6th have already showcased high levels of competition in sports such as gymnastics, table tennis, basketball, baseball, and kendo. The Osan City delegation has demonstrated significant strength during these preliminary rounds, securing overall victories in roller sports, mountain sports, and gymnastics, while also reaching the finals in baseball and securing top rankings in table tennis.

The festival aims to promote amateur sports, health, and unity among the residents of Gyeonggi Province through various competitive and demonstration events held across 38 venues in the region.
