The municipality of Garagoa, located in the Neira province of Boyacá, has established itself as a significant gastronomic destination in Colombia. Situated approximately two and a half hours from Tunja, the town is renowned for its traditional bakery products and regional 'amasijos'.

Key culinary offerings include 'bizcochos de vino', made from wheat flour, margarine, egg, sugar, milk, and wine, and 'garullas', which are described as crumbly with crunchy edges and a soft interior. Other traditional items include almojábanas, arepas de güiva, arepa de baluy, and corn bread baked in wood-fired ovens. The town also features 'arepa de maíz pelado', which is prepared on hot stones to achieve a crunchy exterior and soft interior. Many of these traditional recipes are maintained in the bakeries of the main park, utilizing local ingredients like corn and fresh cheese.
