Garanti BBVA Yatırım advises gradual investment strategies

Garanti BBVA Yatırım has advised investors to adopt planned and gradual investment strategies in response to shifting market dynamics and geopolitical and economic uncertainties during the summer months. Following a strong performance in early 2026, markets have transitioned to a more cautious outlook, with many investors opting to wait due to attractive deposit interest rates.

Hülya Türkmen, General Manager of Garanti BBVA Yatırım, emphasized that instead of waiting for uncertainty to disappear, investors should use information and analysis to shape their decisions. She recommended a gradual approach rather than one-off decisions, alongside diversification and disciplined cash management, to navigate volatile periods.

Türkmen suggested that investors shift their focus from short-term price movements to the long-term value creation potential of companies. Key criteria for selecting companies for the next three to five years include strong balance sheets, cash generation capacity, low indebtedness, export strength, and resilient business models.
