García fatal collision leaves 17-year-old dead after vehicle fire

A fatal collision involving a cargo truck and three private vehicles occurred in the García area of Nuevo León, near the Monterrey border. The accident, which took place near Paseo de los Leones and Cumbres Élite Premier, was reportedly triggered by a mechanical failure in the cargo unit.

The collision resulted in a fire that completely consumed two of the vehicles. Emergency responders recovered the body of 17-year-old Monserrat Elizondo de León from the wreckage. Another 16-year-old male was rescued with various injuries and burns; he was transported to a hospital in Cumbres for treatment.
