García to host Soy Dominio, Soy García festival in August

The municipality of García will host the inaugural “Soy Dominio, Soy García” festival on August 28 and 29. Located on Avenida Paseo de los Leones near “La Flama,” the event will feature musical performances by Los Claxons, El Millonario, La Banda Regional, and a live DJ.

In addition to music, the festival includes a “Carritos Locos” competition with cash prizes of 100,000, 50,000, and 25,000 pesos for the first, second, and third place winners, respectively. Other activities include mechanical rides, local entrepreneur products, tree adoption programs, and painting classes.

Mayor Manuel Guerra Cavazos announced that the municipal government is implementing a special mobility plan to manage traffic. This includes closing a section of Avenida Paseo de los Leones and establishing counterflow lanes to ensure residents can still access their neighborhoods during the festivities.
