Garcigrande bull 'Vanidoso' proposed for Toro de Oro award

The jury for the 50th edition of the 'Toro de Oro' award has proposed the bull 'Vanidoso' from the Garcigrande ranch for the honor. The bull, which belongs to the Garcigrande ranch located in Alaraz, was lidiado by Marco Pérez on September 13 at the La Glorieta bullring in Salamanca.

Born in February 2022, 'Vanidoso' is a red-colored bull weighing 535 kilograms. During the event, the bull received a 'vuelta al ruedo' for its excellent performance and was awarded two ears by the matador.

The proposal has been sent to Joaquín Antonio Pino, the Counselor of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Environment, and Environmental Policy, for final approval. The award aims to promote the fighting bull breed and encourage breeders to conserve and improve its characteristics, such as bravery and physique.
