Gardaí renew appeal in Daniel Aruebose homicide investigation
An Garda Síochána has renewed its appeal for information regarding the death of Daniel Aruebose, a child whose skeletal remains were discovered buried in an unmarked grave in Donabate, Dublin.
Daniel was last seen alive at his home in The Gallery Apartments approximately five years ago at the age of three. His death and burial remained concealed until a review of social welfare payments by the Department of Social Protection raised concerns, leading to an alert from Tusla to the police.
Following the discovery of the remains in September 2025, a homicide investigation was launched. Authorities have utilized forensic anthropologists, forensic archaeologists, and specialist cadaver dogs to assist in the inquiry. Gardaí stated they are determined to ‘vindicate Daniel’s human rights’ and are seeking any information regarding suspicious activity in the area at the time of his disappearance.
