Gardena e-scooter rider seriously injured in vehicle collision

A man was seriously injured following a collision between an electric scooter and a vehicle in Gardena, California. The incident occurred near Redondo Beach Boulevard and Vermont Avenue, close to the Hustler Casino, around 10 p.m. on August 28.

Gardena police reported finding the rider unconscious but breathing in the roadway. Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics transported the individual to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene to cooperate with investigators and was not injured. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the rider or the driver, nor have they specified the direction of travel or the exact circumstances leading to the crash.
