Poland enters autumn season with school starts and mini-kiwi harvests

The autumn season brings diverse changes across various sectors in Poland. In education, the start of the school year varies globally; while Poland typically begins in September, countries like Indonesia start in July, Australia in January, and South Korea in March.

In the agricultural sector, the harvest of mini-kiwi (kiwiberry) has begun in Poland. These fruits, which are smaller than traditional kiwi and have edible skins, are the result of nearly 30 years of research by scientists from the SGGW Institute of Horticultural Sciences. As the first fruits reach retail markets, prices in Warsaw have been noted at approximately 16 PLN for a 200–300g container, reflecting a high market value for this nutritious superfood.
