Gardners Candies expands distribution to over 1,000 Wawa locations

Gardners Candies, a brand owned by Pittsburgh-based Sarris Candies, has expanded its national distribution strategy by entering over 1,000 Wawa locations. The company, known for its Original Peanut Butter Meltaways, has seen its retail footprint more than triple in the last two years, adding over 3,000 new locations.

According to Chief Operating Officer Jim Westover, sales through July increased by more than 24% compared to 2025. In addition to Wawa, the company’s products are now available in various convenience stores such as Sheetz, GetGo, Royal Farms, and Rutter’s, as well as grocery chains including Giant Eagle, Wegmans, and Giant Food Stores. Other retailers stocking the brand include CVS and Cracker Barrel.
