Gargždai hosts ninth Cepelinai cooking championship
The ninth annual Cepelinai cooking championship was held in Gargždai, marking a significant local tradition for culinary enthusiasts in Lithuania. Despite facing challenges due to severe weather that forced organizers to reschedule the event from Saturday to Monday, the festival proceeded with eight competing teams.
A new record was set during the competition, with over 2,300 cepelinai boiled within a four-hour period. The Kiškėnai community team emerged as the winner of this year's championship. The event, organized by the community organization ‘Bendrai visi’, was noted for its strong sense of community and resilience in the face of environmental disruptions.
