Garibaldi Life District Milano launched by 11 life sciences companies

The Municipality of Milan and 11 life sciences companies have officially launched the Garibaldi Life District Milano. The initiative was formalized through the signing of a Manifesto at Palazzo Marino, attended by city councilors Lamberto Bertolè, Alessia Cappello, and Emmanuel Conte.

The district brings together multinational companies operating in close proximity within Milan's economic center. The participating members include Lundbeck, IQVIA, Astellas Pharma, Novartis, Norgine Italia, Gilead Sciences, Alnylam, Daiichi Sankyo Italia, BIAL, Incyte Biosciences Italy, and Alcon Italia. Collectively, these companies generate an annual turnover exceeding 3 billion euros in Italy.

The project is structured around four strategic pillars known as L.I.F.E.: Linking People, Inspiring Innovation, Fostering Community, and Enriching Life. The goal is to foster collaboration, drive scientific innovation, and improve community welfare by sharing expertise and resources in health and research.
