Garlasco murder case: Stefania Cappa alleges orchestrated media campaign
Stefania Cappa has filed a formal complaint alleging a coordinated effort to manipulate media coverage and investigative focus regarding the murder of her cousin, Chiara Poggi, in Garlasco. The complaint, highlighted on the program ‘Verità Nascoste – Il Diario’, claims the Cappa family was subjected to a “systematic, coordinated, and preordained media exposure” designed to orchestrate a specific narrative.
The complaint names several individuals, including Alberto Stasi’s lawyer Antonio De Rensis, journalist Alessandro De Giuseppe, and former Carabinieri commander Francesco Marchetto. It alleges these parties worked together to support Stasi’s innocence while intentionally directing investigative attention toward the Cappa family using witness Gianni Bruscagin.
Separately, the reopening of the investigation has prompted approximately eighty formal reports from citizens to the Pavia Prosecutor's Office. These submissions include various hypotheses and suspicions, which investigators have been reviewing to determine their validity.
