Garlasco murder case: New forensic dispute over shoe print size

The investigation into the 2007 murder of Chiara Poggi in Garlasco has resurfaced due to new forensic disputes regarding a bloody shoe print found at the crime scene. Defense experts for Andrea Sempio, who is currently under investigation by the Pavia Prosecutor's Office as the primary suspect, claim the print is consistent with a size 40 Frau shoe. This contradicts previous assessments and the defense of Alberto Stasi, who is serving a definitive sentence, as his lawyers maintain the print corresponds to a size 44.

Amidst these legal developments, a video of Sempio’s lawyer, Angela Taccia, has gone viral on social media. The footage shows Taccia eating candies during a meeting with the prosecutor while the charges against her client were being discussed. Taccia addressed the footage in a television interview, stating that the tension of the situation caused her to eat, and expressed regret that the public focused on her behavior rather than the substance of the interrogation.
