Garlasco murder trial defense vows exhaustive review of all acts
Attorney Antonio De Rensis, representing convicted murderer Alberto Stasi, told the Filorosso program on Rai 3 that the defence will not limit itself to seeking a revision of the trial. He said the team will “go to the bottom of every act,” examining all procedural steps for alleged irregularities.
De Rensis also criticised the conduct of the Pavia prosecutor’s office, describing the attacks on the institution as unprecedented, and referenced the death threats received by journalist Rita Cavallaro, who has been covering the case.
The comments were made during a televised discussion that revisited the long‑running Garlasco investigation, which began after the 2007 murder of Chiara Poggi and has remained a focal point of public and media scrutiny in Italy.
