Garlasco witness appears on TV, identifies himself and recounts 2007 incident
A man who was in Garlasco on 13 August 2007 – the day of the Chiara Poggi murder – gave a face‑unveiled interview on Rai 3’s programme “Filorosso”. He said he was in town for a work assignment at the Le Rotonde discothèque, walked around the then‑deserted village and observed a cycling girl he remembers in detail. The witness reiterated his statements after criticism of a previous, concealed‑identity interview, insisting on their truthfulness.
He also recounted that, twenty days after his testimony, two men visited his home, warned him to stay silent about Garlasco, and left in a black Polo car. The witness reported that Carabinieri had questioned his credibility and that he may have given an incorrect phone number during the investigation. His renewed appearance aims to clear doubts and address alleged intimidation.
The broadcast aired on the second episode of “Filorosso” on Rai 3 and RaiPlay, bringing renewed public attention to the long‑standing murder case.
