Garmin and Huawei expand wearable technology offerings

Developments in the wearable technology market show major players expanding their fitness tracking capabilities. Garmin is reportedly preparing the CIRQA Pro, a device detected unofficially within the Garmin Connect app. This new model is expected to feature two physical buttons for enhanced control, voice message support with volume regulation, and built-in GPS to allow for phone-free running. The device is believed to be in advanced development stages, with a potential release during the upcoming holiday season.

Simultaneously, Huawei has introduced the Watch GT 7 Pro, focusing on advanced navigation and sensor technology. The device features the Sunflower GPS module, designed to maintain satellite connectivity in dense urban areas and forests by automatically tracking the strongest satellite signal. It also includes offline map capabilities for Europe and specialized cycling features, such as elevation assistance, which provides data on upcoming inclines—a feature previously reserved for dedicated cycling computers.
