Garmin announces 2026 Health Awards winners

Garmin has announced the winners of the 2026 Garmin Health Awards during its annual Garmin Health Summit in Bangkok. The awards recognize innovations that utilize the Garmin Health Connected Ecosystem, including wearable devices and APIs, to improve health outcomes.

The Expert Choice award was presented to Montefiore Einstein, a US-based cancer treatment center. The institution used the Garmin ecosystem in prospective studies to monitor daily activities of cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy. Researchers demonstrated that passive data collection from wearables can help identify patients likely to struggle with treatment tolerance.

The People's Choice award went to HeraMED, an Australian company providing AI-powered personalized care for women during pregnancy, postpartum, menopause, and chronic conditions. This year's finalists included 113 applicants from 31 countries, evaluated on scalability, innovation, and effectiveness in health research, employee wellbeing, and fitness.
