Garmin announces new fēnix 9 flagship smartwatch series

Garmin has announced the launch of its new flagship fēnix 9 multisport GPS smartwatch series. The series features several significant upgrades, including the introduction of a titanium case for the fēnix 9 Pro model to enhance durability and reduce weight.

The fēnix 9 Pro AMOLED 51mm includes the largest display in the series to date, a 1.5-inch AMOLED screen with a brightness of up to 3,000 nits. Battery life for the AMOLED model is estimated at approximately 31 days in smartwatch mode, while the Dual Power solar-compatible model can reach up to 57 days.

New functional features include ‘Garmin Epic’ for aggregating multi-day activity data, enhanced map engine performance with 50% more RAM, and expanded internal storage of 64GB. The Pro models also feature an upgraded LED flashlight with an additional green light option. Additionally, the inReach models will support LTE and satellite communication for messaging and SOS capabilities without a smartphone.
