Garmin launches fēnix 9 and fēnix 9 Pro flagship smartwatches

Garmin has launched its next-generation flagship smartwatch lineup, featuring the fēnix 9 and fēnix 9 Pro. These models introduce significant hardware upgrades, including up to 50% more RAM and 64GB of storage, which supports a mapping engine that is 30% faster. The displays have been enhanced with AMOLED technology, with the fēnix 9 Pro offering brightness up to 3,000 nits and a 1.5-inch screen on the 51mm model.

The fēnix 9 Pro distinguishes itself with a titanium watch case utilizing new nano-molding technology to reduce weight and thickness. It also offers optional inReach satellite and LTE connectivity. New software features like ‘Garmin Epic’ allow users to group multiple activities into a single shareable story, while ‘Stamina Zones’ and ‘Stamina Curves’ provide advanced effort management for endurance athletes.

In addition to the fēnix series, Garmin introduced the CIRQA, a screenless smart band designed for low-distraction health tracking. The CIRQA weighs 21g and offers up to 10 days of battery life, focusing on metrics such as heart rate variability, sleep stages, and Body Battery.

While the new fēnix 9 series offers technical improvements, market discussions have noted the high entry price, starting at $999.99 for the standard model and $1,099.99 for the Pro, leading some users to compare the value against previous generations and other brands.
