Garmin launches Edge 1060, Explore 3, and Tacx Nēra
Garmin has announced a new lineup of cycling products, headlined by the Edge 1060 flagship GPS computer. The Edge 1060 introduces voice control capabilities via an integrated microphone and speaker, allowing riders to use commands like “Okay, Garmin” to request heart rate data, navigate to points of interest, or report road hazards without removing their hands from the handlebars. It also supports two-way messaging through the Garmin Messenger app.
Alongside the flagship, Garmin introduced the Edge Explore 3 and Edge Explore 3 Plus. These navigation-focused models offer bike-specific maps and safety features such as incident detection and LiveTrack. While the standard Explore 3 focuses on essential ride data and navigation, the Plus model includes a microphone and speaker for voice commands and messaging.
The announcement also includes the Tacx Nēra, a premium smart trainer featuring a multidirectional movement system to simulate natural riding sensations during indoor training. The Edge 1060 is priced at $799.99, the Explore 3 series starts at $399.99, and the Tacx Nēra is priced at $999.99.
