Garmin launches Fenix 9 flagship smartwatch series

Garmin has launched its new flagship Fenix 9 series, a comprehensive lineup of 22 GPS smartwatch models designed for professional athletes, adventurers, and business users. The series introduces several hardware and software advancements over previous generations.

Key features include the introduction of titanium cases in the Pro models, offering enhanced durability and a premium feel. The devices feature high-brightness AMOLED displays, with the largest reaching 1.5 inches and up to 3000 nits of brightness. Performance is bolstered by significantly increased RAM—double that of the Fenix 8—and improved processors for faster, more intuitive navigation.

New software capabilities include ‘Garmin Epic’, which allows users to consolidate multi-day activities, such as trips or races, into a single coherent story on Garmin Connect. The series also emphasizes advanced health and performance metrics, such as stamina curves, stamina zones, and detailed sleep management tools. The watches are built to withstand extreme environments, meeting MIL-STD-810 standards for thermal and shock resistance, alongside 10ATM water resistance.
