Garmin launches fēnix 9 and fēnix 9 Pro smartwatch series

Garmin has launched its new fēnix 9 and fēnix 9 Pro multisport smartwatch series, marking a shift toward annual product updates and advanced materials. The new lineup features AMOLED displays with peak brightness levels of up to 3,000 nits and sapphire glass protection.

The fēnix 9 Pro introduces a significant design change as the first in the series to feature an all-titanium case produced via nano-molding technology. This construction aims to provide a robust yet lightweight chassis. Both models include waterproofing and certification for diving up to 40 meters.

Connectivity and performance have been upgraded, with the Pro models integrating inReach satellite technology and LTE. This allows for autonomous voice calls, text messaging, and SOS alerts through the Garmin Response center without a smartphone. Hardware improvements include 64 GB of internal storage, 50% more RAM, and an optimized navigation engine that enables 30% faster map scrolling. The solar-charging Pro version can offer up to 57 days of battery life.
