Garmin launches CIRQA screen‑free fitness band with no subscription

Garmin introduced the CIRQA, its first screenless smart band, slated for sale on July 24. Priced at about $199.99 (≈ €199.99, £174.99, 6 990 THB, R$ 1 017.95, 2 339 NOK), the device offers 24/7 health tracking without a monthly fee. It measures heart rate, pulse‑ox, skin temperature, stress, Body Battery, VO2 max, HRV and sleep stages, and includes women’s cycle monitoring. Users can select from more than 80 activities, start a favorite sport with a side button, and sync all data to the Garmin Connect app on a paired smartphone, which also supplies GPS location for outdoor workouts.

The CIRQA has a fiber‑reinforced polymer case, quick‑release fabric straps that can be worn on the wrist or upper arm, and a battery life of up to ten days per charge. It is water‑resistant to 5 ATM and comes in several colours (e.g., Black, Captain Blue, French Gray, Mauve). Garmin later announced an app update that will make live heart‑rate data available without the Connect+ subscription, though some advanced features remain behind a paywall.
