Garmin prepares to launch CIRQA Smart Ring based on regulatory filings

Recent regulatory filings suggest that Garmin is preparing to launch a smart ring, potentially named the CIRQA Smart Ring. Evidence for the device has emerged from multiple international databases, including Indonesia, China, and Brazil.

In Brazil, a certification filing with the National Telecommunications Agency (ANATEL) listed ten different model variants under a single sequence. This pattern of multiple model numbers is characteristic of smart rings, which require various physical sizes to accommodate users since they lack adjustable straps. For comparison, the Oura Ring 4 offers 12 sizes, while the Samsung Galaxy Ring offers nine.

Previously, a device named the CIRQA Smart Ring appeared briefly in Indonesia’s telecommunications database in August. Additionally, Garmin’s Taiwanese entity registered four related Bluetooth devices in China in early September. While Garmin has not officially announced the product or a release date, these consecutive regulatory appearances indicate an imminent launch.
