Garmin Run Singapore 2026 concludes despite regional haze

Over 6,000 participants gathered at Marina Barrage on October 25, 2026, for the finale of the Garmin Run Marathon Series Singapore. Due to persistent transboundary haze and air quality concerns, organizers proactively decided to truncate the marquee half-marathon into a non-competitive 10km fun run.

The decision was made following health advisories from the National Environment Agency (NEA) and SportSG to prioritize runner safety and respiratory health. Despite the change in format, participants received full finisher entitlements, including commemorative medals and shirts. The event featured international running figures, including 2018 Boston Marathon champion Yuki Kawauchi.
