Garrahan Hospital receives child transferred with severe burns

A young boy, identified as S. M., has been transferred via medical flight to the Garrahan Hospital in Buenos Aires following severe burns caused by boiling water from his parents' food cart. The incident occurred in the Teresa Calcuta neighborhood, and the child was initially treated at Hospital Rawson.

The burns affect multiple areas of his body, including his face, neck, chest, arms, and legs. Medical professionals have classified the injuries as grade A-AB. Specialists at Garrahan are currently evaluating the necessity of skin grafts and monitoring the patient to prevent complications such as infection. While his condition remains delicate due to the extent of the injuries, he is reported to be stable.
