Garry Rogers Motorsport returns with wildcard entry at 2026 Bathurst 1000
Garry Rogers Motorsport (GRM) will re‑appear on the Supercars grid as a wildcard entry for the 2026 Repco Bathurst 1000. The team will field a Chevrolet Camaro driven by James Moffat and Nathan Herne. This marks GRM's first Supercars appearance since a wildcard entry at the 2020 Bathurst event, after the team withdrew from the full championship at the end of 2019.
The 2026 Bathurst 1000 is scheduled for Sunday, 11 October, with practice and qualifying running from 8‑10 October at Mount Panorama. A total of 26 cars are entered, comprising the regular field plus the GRM wildcard and a second wildcard from Team 18. The race start is slated for 11:45 a.m. AEDT (10:45 a.m. Queensland time) and will run for approximately seven hours.
Herne, a two‑time Trans‑Am champion, said, “I feel head and shoulders above where I was as a driver back then,” and highlighted the significance of racing alongside his mentor James Moffat.
