Garth Brooks announces Washington, D.C. tour dates

Garth Brooks has announced new dates for his ‘Blame It All On My Roots’ tour, including two performances at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., scheduled for September 18 and 19. The tour features a ‘Drum Pod’ stage design, an in-the-round setup intended to provide a more intimate arena experience similar to his 1990s performances. Brooks also plans to record segments of the tour for a future live release titled ‘Killer Live.’

The tour rollout has drawn attention due to its unconventional strategy, including Brooks’ decision to keep his music exclusive to Amazon rather than mainstream platforms like Spotify or Apple Music. This approach has coincided with high demand, as several tour dates have sold out quickly. This success stands in contrast to a broader industry trend described as ‘Blue Dot Fever,’ a term used to describe systemic low ticket sales and empty seats on platforms like Ticketmaster, which has impacted various artists across multiple genres.
