Garudafood expands healthy snacking and waste education to 30 West Java schools
PT Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya Tbk has expanded its “Bijak Jajan Cinta Bumi 2026” educational program to 30 schools across Sumedang Regency, Bandung City, and Bandung Regency in West Java. The initiative aims to reach approximately 23,000 students ranging from elementary to high school levels.
The program focuses on three core pillars: selecting safe and nutritious snacks, practicing clean and healthy living behaviors, and managing packaging waste. To ensure practical application, the curriculum utilizes games, discussions, and simulations. Additionally, the program provides packaging waste dropboxes to facilitate proper disposal.
The 2026 rollout was officially launched at SDN Tegalkalong in Sumedang. Local officials, including Sumedang Regent Dony Ahmad Munir, expressed support for the initiative, noting its importance in fostering a healthy and environmentally conscious younger generation.
