Recent testing of gas grills has highlighted significant differences in performance, value, and safety. The Burnhard Big Fred Deluxe received high marks for its power and versatility, achieving a top rating of 1.11. The unit features four stainless steel burners and a specialized infrared ceramic “Sizzle-Zone” capable of reaching temperatures near 700 °C, making it suitable for various BBQ techniques including low-and-slow cooking.

In a broader comparative study by Stiftung Warentest, results indicated that higher price points do not guarantee superior quality. The Rösle Videro Pure G3 was named the test winner in the grill cart category with a grade of 2.0, offering consistent heat distribution and easy assembly at a price of approximately 459 Euro. Conversely, the most expensive model tested, priced at 749 Euro, failed the assessment due to pollutants found on the grill grate that could contaminate food.
