Gas incidents force evacuations and safety alerts in Germany and Austria

In St. Lorenzen im Mürztal, Austria, a technical defect caused a gas bottle and its pressure regulator to catch fire in a garden plot on Sunday evening. The volunteer fire brigade quickly extinguished the blaze, protected a nearby hedge and cooled the cylinder. No one was injured.
