Gas-related accidents reported in Mexico and Argentina

Two separate gas-related incidents were reported in Mexico and Argentina.

In Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, a gas hose detached from a delivery truck during a refueling operation at a residential complex in the Viveros neighborhood. The resulting flash fire injured a 54-year-old resident, Miguel Ángel, who sustained burns to his face and both arms and was hospitalized. A worker from the gas company, Súper Gas, also suffered minor burns but did not require hospital transfer.

In Caleta Olivia, Argentina, firefighters rescued two individuals from carbon monoxide poisoning in the Miramar neighborhood. Investigators identified a gas leak from an oven caused by a deficient connection, a heater lacking a ventilation cover, and a lack of required ventilation grates. The occupants were taken to a local hospital as a precaution, and gas utility workers removed the meter from the premises.
