Gas safety regulations and heating connection policies in Romania and Moldova

In Romania, property owners must distinguish between two separate mandatory gas safety checks to avoid service interruptions. The first is the periodic technical inspection of the heating boiler (VTP/ISCIR), required every two years by authorized entities to ensure device integrity and safety. The second is the inspection of the natural gas installation itself, which must be performed by an economic operator authorized by ANRE. Completing one does not satisfy the legal requirement for the other.

In Moldova, Termoelectrica has clarified that existing debts for thermal energy do not prevent residential apartment buildings from being connected to the centralized heating system.
