Gas supply disruptions reported in Carlos Casares and Rincón de los Sauces

Gas supply interruptions have been reported in two different Argentine locations due to infrastructure and operational issues.

In Carlos Casares, Camuzzi reported a significant drop in network pressure following an operational issue with a bypass valve on a pipeline feeding the city. The company received approximately 200 complaints and deployed emergency resources to restore service to affected households. Officials noted that delivery conditions to the transport system have begun to normalize.

In Rincón de los Sauces, a city central to the Vaca Muerta development, between 3,000 and 5,000 families experienced gas outages from Friday through Sunday. Local officials attributed the disruption to a combination of severe weather—including snow and wind at Cerro Auca Mahuida—and aging, undersized piping. To manage the emergency, a virtual plant operated by Camuzzi and Hidenesa was utilized via containerized trucks. While service has been normalized, officials warned that continued inclement weather could cause further issues.
