Gasoline prices in Fortaleza fall for eighth consecutive week

Gasoline prices in Fortaleza, Ceará, have decreased for the eighth consecutive week. According to data from the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) for the week ending August 8, the average price in Fortaleza fell by 0.91% to R$ 6.51 per liter. This marks the first time since late March that Fortaleza's average price has been lower than the Brazilian national average of R$ 6.55.

Across the state of Ceará, common gasoline prices dropped for the seventh straight week, reaching an average of R$ 6.67 per liter. There is significant regional variation within the state: Caucaia recorded the lowest average price at R$ 6.49 per liter, while Iguatu and Itapipoca recorded the highest at R$ 7.48 per liter.

Other fuel trends in Ceará showed a general decline, including Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), which saw a 1.31% reduction. However, diesel and Natural Gas for Vehicles (GNV) prices remained stable.
