Gaspar Quintal opposes Yucatán land donation to Tren Maya
Gaspar Quintal Parra, a local deputy and state president of the PRI, voted against a decree authorizing the donation of approximately 56 hectares of land to Tren Maya, S.A. de C.V.
Quintal argued that the move constitutes “giving away the heritage of Yucatán” without sufficient justification or economic proof of benefit to the state. He noted that the decree lacks transparency regarding the acquisition costs of the six properties and their current market value.
