Yvelines: Two dead in A13 motorway vehicle fire

A fatal vehicle fire occurred on Saturday in a tunnel on the A13 motorway near Mantes-la-Ville, in the Yvelines department.

A nine-month pregnant woman and her two-year-old son were killed in the blaze. Both victims were already deceased by the time emergency responders arrived at the scene. A third person was hospitalized in critical condition.

Preliminary reports indicate that the vehicle had not collided with any other cars before catching fire, though the exact cause of the fire remains unknown. Emergency services deployed 74 firefighters and 15 vehicles to manage the incident.
