Gastón Gaudio discusses fatherhood and life after tennis

Former Roland Garros champion Gastón Gaudio shared personal reflections on his life following his professional tennis career during an appearance on the program ‘Otro día perdido’.

Gaudio discussed the challenges and joys of fatherhood with his partner, Helena Ayerza. He described the early months of raising their son, Vicente, as a ‘martyrdom’ due to extreme sleep deprivation. He also noted the recent arrival of their daughter, Alfonsina, born in June, explaining that the decision to expand their family was a shared desire despite the exhaustion experienced with their first child.

Additionally, Gaudio recounted a period of personal freedom following his retirement, including a trip to Las Vegas with friends. While originally intended to last only seven days, the stay extended to sixty days, an experience he described as a time when he ‘derailed a bit’ and lost track of time.
