GastroAntep Culture Route Festival hosts arts and exhibitions in Gaziantep

The GastroAntep Culture Route Festival, organized by the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, is currently taking place from October 3 to 11. Under the theme ‘Age of Experience: Gastronomy, Agriculture, Tourism, and Hospitality’, the festival features 246 events across 14 different locations throughout the city.

At the Zeugma Mosaic Museum, four distinct exhibitions have been opened to the public. These include the ‘Sacred Relics of the Ottoman Empire’ exhibition, which showcases 37 historical artifacts, and the ‘Living Heritage: Gaziantep Exhibition’, which highlights local crafts such as kutnu fabric, copperwork, and traditional embroidery. Additionally, the museum is hosting a ‘Miniature-style Ceramics Exhibition’ featuring 65 works by Muhammet Aliyev, and an exhibition of filography works created by relatives of martyrs and veterans.

The festival program also includes musical performances at Festival Park, featuring artists such as Buray, following previous performances by Bengü, Murat Boz, and Kıraç. To preserve cultural heritage, various workshops are being held, including traditional weaving techniques like ‘Çarpana’ at the Zeugma Mosaic Museum, as well as workshops for Ebru and Antep-style embroidery.
