Gastronomic events announced in Catalonia

Two distinct gastronomic events are scheduled to take place in Catalonia this autumn.

In Vilafranca del Penedès, the 9th edition of ‘L’Espectacle: Vins Negres Penedès’ will be held at the Claustre dels Trinitaris on November 7. Organized by El Gat Blau restaurant in collaboration with the Penedès DO, the event features 14 red wines from eight different wineries, including Jean Leon, Família Torres, and Loxarel. The evening will combine wine tasting with gastronomy, audiovisual art from the Escola d’Art i Disseny Arsenal, and music by DJ JADE.

Additionally, the 32nd Gastronomic Show of les Garrigues will run from November 7 to December 20. The event involves six local restaurants and coincides with the new olive oil season. Presented by the Consell Comarcal de les Garrigues, the initiative aims to promote regional products and the work of local restaurateurs, highlighting the connection between olive producers and the culinary sector.
