GatesAir launches Maxiva XTK software-defined exciter at IBC 2026

GatesAir will present its new Maxiva XTK platform at the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam in 2026. The FPGA‑based, software‑defined exciter is designed for the Maxiva family of digital television and DAB/DAB+ radio transmitters and supports all major digital TV standards – DVB‑T2, ATSC 1.0, ATSC 3.0, ISDB‑Tb and Brazil’s DTV+ – as well as digital radio.

The solution combines high‑capacity signal processing, advanced Transport over IP (TSoIP) and Real‑Time Adaptive Correction to optimise performance across different RF‑amplifier configurations. Its modular architecture allows optional internal satellite and RF inputs, providing a flexible, future‑proof platform that can be updated via firmware.
