Gateway Distriparks deploys electric heavy-duty trucks for freight

Gateway Distriparks Limited (GDL) has deployed electric heavy-duty trucks from Blue Energy Motors to support its commercial freight operations. The deployment was inaugurated at the company’s Inland Container Depot (ICD) in Garhi Harsaru, Gurugram.

The electric vehicles are intended to facilitate first- and last-mile connectivity within the company’s container logistics network. This initiative serves as an assessment of the operational suitability of electric heavy-duty vehicles for regular commercial freight applications while aiming to reduce the environmental impact of road freight.

Samvid Gupta, Joint Managing Director of Gateway Distriparks Limited, stated that the deployment of electric trailers marks an important step in the company’s commitment to sustainability and building a more sustainable logistics ecosystem without compromising reliability or efficiency.
