Gatik raises $200 million to expand autonomous freight operations

Autonomous trucking startup Gatik has secured $200 million in Series D funding, bringing its total capital raised to approximately $500 million. The financing round was co-led by the Qatar Investment Authority and Koch Disruptive Technologies, with participation from Millennium Management, ARK Invest, and Intact Private Capital.

Gatik specializes in middle-mile delivery, utilizing autonomous box trucks to transport goods between distribution centers and retail locations. The company reports more than $600 million in contracted revenue and has completed over 85,000 fully driverless orders with a 99% on-time delivery rate. Current operations span Texas, Arizona, and Arkansas in the United States, as well as Ontario, Canada.

The new capital is intended to scale commercial operations, expand the driverless fleet to over 100 trucks by the end of 2026, and support the company's growing customer base, which includes Fortune 50 retailers and grocers such as Walmart, Kroger, Tyson Foods, Loblaws, and PepsiCo.
