Gatik secures $200 million for autonomous freight expansion

Gatik, a Mountain View-based autonomous freight company, has secured $200 million in a Series D funding round. The investment was co-led by the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) and Koch Disruptive Technologies, with participation from investors including ARK Invest, Millennium Management, Intact Private Capital, and Arca Continental.

This funding brings Gatik’s total capital raised to approximately $500 million. Unlike companies focused on robotaxis, Gatik specializes in high-frequency, short-haul autonomous routes between distribution centers and retail locations. The company currently operates fully driverless box trucks for various retailers and grocery chains across Texas, Arizona, Arkansas, and Ontario, Canada.

Gatik has reported contracted revenue exceeding $600 million and has completed over 100,000 orders through its autonomous services. The company maintains a significant partnership with PepsiCo as it scales its operations to meet demand from the consumer goods and retail sectors.
