Gau Wan-wai announces entertainment industry comeback

Actress Gau Wan-wai is making a professional comeback to the entertainment industry following a period of personal and health challenges. After her contract with TVB ended in 2016, she stepped away from the spotlight to focus on family life. Following her divorce last year, she has re-entered the industry through brand endorsements and is managing her own studio.

Gau has spoken openly about her struggles with thyroid issues, which previously impacted her physical health and mental well-being. She expressed a desire to use her return to promote health awareness, particularly regarding gut health and the importance of balancing work with self-care. She noted that her past work habits, such as staying awake for over 30 hours during filming, took a significant toll on her body.

Looking forward, Gau intends to focus her career on Hong Kong, Mainland China, and North America. While she is open to various collaborations, including potential projects with Eric Tsang’s new company, she is currently prioritizing her own intellectual property and personal well-being. She also expressed an interest in exploring new activities like skiing and horseback riding.
